LiftPulse 30-Day Trial

Terms of Sale: 30-Day Trial

These terms apply to the trial only.

  1. What the trial covers

One LiftPulse 4G-VoLTE unit per lift, on the lifts and at the sites listed, configured specifically for each lift as per provided details on the order form. The multi-network SIM card supports voice calls on all 4 UK networks and will remain active for the trial period only, unless approved for ongoing service.

  2. Refundable deposit

A deposit of £295 + VAT per unit, plus £15 + VAT tracked courier delivery per shipment address. Units ordered and despatched together incur a single delivery charge; units ordered later, or despatched to different addresses, are charged separately. The £295 is a deposit, not a purchase, and is refunded in full if the unit is returned within the return window. Delivery is a cost of despatch and is not refunded.

  3. Deposit payment

After the order is placed we will issue an invoice with bank details. Hardware is despatched after payment has been received and the installation date has been set.

  4. Plug&Play installation

The LiftPulse unit is mounted to the wall where the BT socket being replaced is currently mounted. This can be done by any competent maintenance provider, in-house or sub-contractor. If the installation environment is within a restricted work area a licensed lift engineer may be required. The installer must communicate with the LiftPulse support team before leaving site to confirm correct operation and testing for the trial period to officially commence.

  5. When the 30-day trial period starts

The trial begins on the day the unit is installed and its first successful test call is logged. You agree the installation date with your maintenance provider and confirm it to us, and we despatch once that date is set, so the full 30 days are available to you. Where several units are supplied, each runs from its own installation date. If a unit is not installed within 30 days of delivery we will contact you to agree a new date, however the refundable deposit offer will no longer be valid.

  6. Before starting the trial

To avoid LiftPulse equipment being delivered too early, an installer and date must be agreed and communicated with us before the unit is despatched. We deliver the kit ahead of that date so the trial can start without delay. Fitting is carried out by your own lift engineer. The LiftPulse unit replaces the existing telephone line to the autodialler and nothing else. LiftPulse does not interfere with the lift, its controls or the emergency phone itself.

  7. Your responsibilities during the trial

Each unit is to be installed at the site and lift named on the order form, powered and undamaged. It must not be installed in a different building or lift. The party ordering the LiftPulse trial remains responsible for the LiftPulse equipment, the lift compliance testing and the emergency call-handling arrangements throughout the trial period. The BT socket should remain live until the LiftPulse trial has been completed and approved for ongoing service. Do not cancel the BT line before ongoing LiftPulse service has been agreed.

  8. Our responsibilities during the trial

The LiftPulse unit is pre-configured to call the alarm receiving call centre as noted on the order form. We provide 7-day phone support directly to the installer, management and on-site staff and maintenance teams throughout the trial. A direct support phone number is provided to ensure calls are handled and logged efficiently.

LiftPulse 30-Day Trial

Terms of Sale, continued

  1. 30-day trial approval

Your decision to proceed after the 30-day trial must be received by the end of day 30, in writing, to liftpulse@controlfreq.co.uk to maintain operational service. Where more than one unit is on trial you may keep some and return others; each unit is treated separately.

  2. Service past the 30-day trial period

Where you proceed onto a plan that includes the hardware (6 or more lifts on a 36‑month term), the £295 + VAT deposit is refunded per unit within 14 days of the plan starting, and the service charge applies from that date. Where you proceed onto a plan priced with the hardware bought upfront, the deposit is retained as the hardware purchase price and nothing further is owed for the hardware. The £15 + VAT delivery is not refunded on either route. Ongoing service is charged on subscription terms per our current price list and includes the full service, support and WebAlarm cloud monitoring as detailed on our website.

  3. If you return the unit

On request, we will arrange a tracked courier to collect a pre-packaged LiftPulse system, at our cost. The package must be collected within 7 days of the end of the 30-day trial to receive the deposit back. Once the unit is returned and checked to be in satisfactory order, we refund the £295 + VAT deposit in full, for each unit returned, to the original payment method within 14 days. The £15 + VAT delivery charge is not refunded.

  4. Condition on return

The LiftPulse system returned must include the main LiftPulse unit, SIM card, antenna and power supply, in the original packaging. We may reduce the refund to cover missing parts or damage beyond fair wear and tear. Cosmetic marks from normal installation are considered fair wear and tear.

  5. Late returns

If a unit is not returned within the 7-day window, the deposit is not refunded and the unit is treated as purchased.

  6. Reallocation of LiftPulse

If a LiftPulse unit is not returned within the 7-day window it can be allocated to a different lift on request. The trial period does not apply on subsequent locations and will be charged at our current subscription rates on activation.

  7. Ending the trial early

Either side may end the trial early. If you end it, the return and refund terms above apply from the date you inform us in writing to liftpulse@controlfreq.co.uk. WebAlarm dashboard access ends when the unit is returned.

  8. 30-day trial availability

The LiftPulse 30-day trial is for business customers in the United Kingdom and is subject to our acceptance of your order, allocation of installer details and an agreed installation date prior to delivery.

Please note

LiftPulse replaces the telephone line, not your lift maintenance contract or your emergency call-answering arrangement. Check your existing maintenance terms before installation if you are unsure.

LiftPulse 30-Day Trial

Terms of Sale: Digital Line Service

These terms apply if you continue after the 30-day trial.

  1. Hardware

If you keep LiftPulse and buy the hardware, the £295 + VAT trial deposit becomes the purchase price of each unit and nothing further is due for it. Ownership passes to you once it is paid in full. Where hardware is included in your plan, term 10 on page 4 applies and the unit remains ours.

  2. Installation

Installation is not included in the hardware price or the service fee. You arrange and pay for it through your lift maintenance provider or another competent installer, as for the trial. Moving or refitting a unit later is also at your cost.

  3. The service

LiftPulse provides a digital line: a monitored connection that carries the lift’s emergency call and the unit’s status signals to the alarm number you nominate, with a dashboard, test calls and compliance reports. It is the line and nothing more.

  4. What is not included

The lift, its phone, microphone, speaker, buttons, controller, wiring and every other lift component and associated hardware are not part of the LiftPulse service. We do not inspect, maintain, repair or certify them. The service depends on site power and on the lift’s own phone being in working order.

  5. Service fee

The annual service fee for each unit is set out in our written confirmation. It is invoiced annually in advance, plus VAT, and is payable no later than 7 days after the start date and each renewal date. Fees are fixed for the agreed term. Late payment carries interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, and we may suspend the service on 14 days’ written notice.

  6. Agreement term

Agreements of 1 to 5 years are available. The term, lifts covered and start date are confirmed to you in writing, and that confirmation with these terms is the agreement. It then renews for 12 months at a time unless either party gives 60 days’ written notice.

  7. Support

Seven-day phone support gives your engineer direct assistance with setup, line faults and test calls. Remote testing of the unit and the line is part of it. On-site support is not included; any attendance is by agreement and at our charges.

  8. Uptime

We aim for the digital line to be available 99% of the time in each calendar month, measured by the unit’s heartbeat reports to our platform. This excludes loss of site power, faults in the lift or its phone, damage to or interference with the unit, failure of all four UK mobile networks at once, planned maintenance and events outside our reasonable control. If we miss the target, ask in writing within 30 days and we credit one-twelfth of that unit’s annual fee. That credit is your only remedy for unavailability.

  9. Your responsibilities

You remain responsible for the lift, its maintenance, its examination and its emergency call-handling arrangements, and for keeping the nominated alarm number correct and answered. Tell us promptly of any change to the site, lift or number, and do not tamper with the unit.

  10. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, we are not liable for lift faults, entrapments or the failure of any lift component, or for how an alarm receiving centre, engineer or emergency service responds, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or indirect loss. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the service fees paid for the affected units in that period. LiftPulse carries a call. It does not make a lift safe or compliant.

  11. Ending the agreement

Either party may end the agreement by written notice if the other materially breaches it and does not put it right within 30 days. If you end it early other than for our breach, fees for the rest of the term remain payable. On ending, included hardware is returned to us within 14 days, purchased hardware stays with you, and service and dashboard access stop.

  12. General

Our standard terms of sale apply to anything not covered here; where they conflict, these terms prevail for the service. We may update the service, and these terms on 30 days’ notice, where that does not reduce what you receive. English law applies.
